What makes a farmers market such a special place is that you’re actually creating community around food.

Ramona Certified Farmers Market

The Ramona Certified Farmers Market boasts a wide variety of vendors, including: meats, eggs, locally grown and organic produce, breads & pastries, local crafters and artisans. Each week the market has live music, special events for children, food trucks and the opportunity for youth groups to do fundraising for their organization. We accept WIC and SNAP.

A special feature of the CFM is a booth that is run by local adults with Intellectual and Developmental disabilities. Through a grant from the Department of Developmental Services (DDS), Generations Day Care is able to provide a booth and job coaches for clients to work hands-on in a farmers market booth. Through these paid internship positions, clients learn skills related to managing a microenterprise, customer service, product knowledge and set up/take down of their booth. The goal is for each client to master enough skills to become self-employed with a booth of their own, or to get hired to work with another vendor at their booth or in a similar position. Clients also make items that are sold at the booth, such as: hand-sewn items, dog treats, and other crafted goods.

Basic rules at the Market: No dogs allowed. Please bring your own bags whenever possible. Please be courteous of residents living near the market and do not block their driveways or park in unauthorized areas. No smoking, no vaping. No alcohol or glass containers.

Booth spaces are $40 per week and vendors can sign up for a monthly schedule that meets their needs (no need to commit to every Saturday). Email Christina Chavez for more information.
